Studio Atmosphere

Cello Studio students are all lifelong learners. Our studio is comprised of supportive, warm individuals who learn from one another and build eachother up!

Lesson Lengths

30, 45, 60, and 90-minute lesson options are available to students in Dr. Johnson’s Cello Studio.

Age & Levels

Dr. Johnson is accepting students who are 6 years of age and up. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced cellists are all welcome!

β€œI find that Dr. Johnson is very encouraging and keeps reminding you of the skills you have learned. Above all, he provides you with very clear, detailed instructions on how to play a note or a sequence of notes and eventually the complete song. Knowing how to break a skill into easily understandable components, together with his insightful guidance and thorough understanding of the process of learning to play the cello, translates into the learner rapidly acquiring new skills and improving old techniques. Had I begun my cello lessons with him, I would now be a more advanced cellist!”
